Jonathan is an environmental engineer with 15 years experience working in waste management consultancy and is currently Head of the Atkins Waste Management business. His portfolio of projects includes developing waste strategy and business cases for Local Government to design and procurement of collection and treatment infrastructure for the private sector in the UK and overseas.
Recent experience has included leading teams in the planning, design, environmental assessment and permitting of waste infrastructure projects under a variety of funding mechanisms including PFI and PPP. Facilities developed include in-vessel composting, AD and MBT plants, EfW, advanced thermal treatment, household waste recycling facilities, landfills and transfer stations.
Jonathan has also supported the delivery of waste strategy and infrastructure projects for new and existing assets including city extensions, railway stations, mixed use high rise developments, shopping malls, island resorts and industrial developments. Jonathan has worked both in the UK and overseas and recently lead a UK Trade and Investment Waste Management mission to Mumbai and Kolkata.
Mr. Xu Jian was engaged in the design of emission disposal during 2001-2005. He has been Chief Engineer of Anhui Shengyun Eco-friendly Equipment Co., Ltd. since January 2005. He has taken part in the overall design of bag dust removers for waste-to-energy plants in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, etc.

Mr. Huang Zhaokai is specialising in gas monitoring including ambient air quality monitoring (AQM) and continuous emissions monitoring (CEM)/process control. He has been responsible for the regional technical cooperation and support, and marketing in China for OPSIS since 2005, making efforts to improve the country's environmental monitoring. Approved by TüV, MCerts and the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the flue gas monitoring system (SO2, NOx, HCl, CO, H2O, dust, etc) for WTE plants provided by OPSIS which operates with a minimum of maintenance is furthering the monitoring sector in a low-carbon way.
Mr Chen Hongzhang is the genenral manager of Shanghai Laogang Landfill Gas-to Energy Co., Ltd. Formerly he was the general manager of Veolia Environmental Services Energy Recovery Taiwan Co., Ltd. Chen Has over 14 years of experience of landfill gas to energy plant and intergrated waste treatment. Chen Hongzhang holds a degree of Bachelor of Science from Tatung University and Master of Science from Auburn University.

Lu Juliu, graduated from South China Technical College(present South China University of Technology). In 1985, Mr Lu started his career in waste-to-energy. He has contributed much to the technology localization and updates. In 1996, Mr Lu led the reseach of "municipal solid waste incineration technology", and was awarded national major breakthrough award. The research won the second prize of National Scinetific Breakthroughs. He invented the Adverse-push Stoke Grate with Triple Actuating Units. The incinerator functioned smoothly in several projects. Recently Mr Lu acts as the expert committee of MSW treatment for Ministry of Construction and China environmental association.
